It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself to you as a midwife. To me the journey of becoming and practicing as a midwife is one that I would trade for nothing. I began my education in 2004 on the Mexican- American border at a natural childbirth clinic in El Paso, Texas. With the help of the skilled midwives, fellow student midwives and the strength and courage of the birthing mothers and families I gained an unwavering faith and awe in the process of childbirth.

It was at Ryerson University’s International Midwifery Pre-registration Program where I bridged my credentials to Canadian registration standards and began my career as a Registered Midwife in Ontario in the summer of 2008.

Pregnancy and childbirth is a unique experience for every woman. In practice, I honour the fact that every woman should be provided with as much information, respect, compassion and positive encouragement as she and her family deserve in order to make the best decisions to suit their individual needs. I am looking forward to being part of your care at this extraordinary time in your lives.
