Jillian Simon RM IBCLC

Jill brings to her practice a strong academic background in the anatomy and physiology of childbearing & Lactation, a passion for evidence-based clinical practice, a clear communication style and deep compassion for the struggles of infant feeding.

Seeing so many families struggle with breastfeeding during her Midwifery practice Jill developed a special interest in lactation medicine.  To expand her Midwifery skills and scope she became an IBLCE board-certified Lactation Consultant. Since then Jill has been dedicated to improving support for families through continuing education in lactation medicine, improving breastfeeding policies and practices in her community hospital and through board work with the Canadian Lactation Consultants Association, the Breastfeeding Action Awareness Committee and the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.

Her role as a Lactation Consultant is to help parents develop a deeply-connected, nurturing bond with their baby. Jill offers non-judgmental support to help families meet their goals for infant feeding. She comes alongside a family as a compassionate guide to offer information, assistance and experience as they navigate their parenting journey.
